Flat Rocks Gem +S

July 7, 1996 -

Sire:
Flat Rocks Mighty Fine
(Flat Rocks Mighty Mike x
Willow Creek Amaretto)

Dam:
MCH Flat Rocks Surprise *D

(Goodwood Alamo Messenger ++S x
Willows Bonehead)

Show Record:
1 x Reserve Grand Senior
Polled. Gem was a very stylish, elegant buck, characteristics he consistently passed on to his kids. He was long-bodied and level, with a wide rear leg set and great angulation. Gem was definitely a "doe-maker"! According to our records to date he produced about 90% doe kids and almost 90% polled! He also improved the udder on nearly every doe he was bred to. His twin sister, MCH Flat Rocks Opal *D (Pictured Below) and his daughters have done very well in the show ring. Gem was by far the most consistent buck we've ever used and we are very proud of him. He has left us in body, but his legacy in our herd is everywhere we look.  Gem made an impact not only on our herd but in the breed.  You find Gem genetics in many herds.

Irish Whisper Harry Potter

May 20, 2003 - January 2013

Sire:
Gay-Mor's Lucky Northrup King *S
(ARMCH Twin Creeks LS Luck Of The Draw +*S  E x
Gay-Mor JJU Krysanthemum 2*D AR)

Dam:
Gay-Mor's RA Wood Nymph
(Stonewall's Raising Arizona +S x
Gay Mor's Fleet Kricket 3*D AR)
Special thanks to Sue Brennan of Irish Whisper for giving us our precious Harry.  He spent his entire life here at Flat Rock where he certainly made an impact with his daughters and sons.  Harry was a very correct buck and threw beautiful kids. Harry is a combination of two of what I consider the most influential bloodlines in the breed, that of Stonewall Raising Arizona on his dams side and Twin Creeks Luck of the Draw on his sires. He is extremely consistent, his kids are carbon copies of each other, and that is something I look for in a buck. He mostly leaves my udders alone which I also like. He adds some teat size to some and medial to others. He leaves the rear udders alone which I am already very happy with. Orifices are very large. His daughters freshen easily. I have never, not once, had a C-section on a Harry daughter. Likewise Harry kids birth easily, they are very angular and dairy, and remind me strongly of my Gem kids. The icing on the cake is their temperament. Harry kids are born like bottle babies. People come to my house and assume I bottle feed everything.
Nope. It's just Harry and it breeds true.
His grandkids are the same way.
He is sorely missed.

MCH Flat Rocks Fox Fire E

February 8, 2002

Sire:
MCH Ponder's End Minstrel Show
(Flat Rocks 501 Blues x
Mighty Fine Prissy)

Dam:
Lost pines Champagne
(Gay-Mor RA Kingwood ++S x
MCH Goodwood Fox)

Show Record:
2 x Grand Champion
2 x Reserve Champion (leg awarded)
This buck is very, very special to me. His dam, Lost Pines Champagne, was one of my all time favorite does. She had it all: structure, mammary system, color, and personality plus! Unfortunately I lost her to a ruptured uterus several years ago. Fox Fire is the only kid I had kept out of her, and I am so happy that I did! He is everything I would expect from his bloodlines, very correct feet and legs, long and very level, wide and deep, with tons of dairy character and style. Fox Fire finished his MCH in 2004, after a very short show career. His kids have been exceptional all the way through.

Enchanted Hill Lyric)

Dam:
Enchanted Hill Pixie
(Ponders End DG Paddington x
Enchanted Hill Lotus Blossom)

Thomas Jefferson (TJ) comes to us from Enchanted Hill Farm in VA.  We don't often buy goats, especially bucks, we knew TJ was one we had to have.  He's a beautiful boy, standing on great feet and legs, and he's a cou blanc.  We couldn't resist.  Several of TJ's daughters have freshened multiple times with beautiful udders.  We expect a LOT of TJ kids in 2013

MunchRanch Cactus Jack

Sire:
Woodhaven Farms Al Jolson
(Storybook Domino x
Woodhaven Farms Sparkle)

Dam:
Dav-Lyn's Glory's Orion
(Flat Rocks Dynamite x
Dav-Lyn's Peri's Crowning Glory)

Jack is a very powerful blue-eyed buck with a wide chest and straight front legs that he consistently passes on to his kids. He is quite small, measuring only 21". Jack has produced daughters with exceptionally nice udders as well as overall conformation. He's just one of those bucks that produces better than himself. We're so excited to have Jack back home, although it seems his days of siring kids are over. He will pass an honored retirement here.

MCH Ponder's End Minstrel Show "E"

April 9, 2000 -

Sire:
Flat Rocks 501 Blues

(MunchRanch Cactus Jack x
Flat Rocks Sweet Reward)

Dam:
Mighty Fine Prissy
(Twin Creeks BH Bravado x
It'll Do's Spring's Delta)

Show Record:
1 x GCH (NDGA)
3 x GCH
1 x Reserve GCH (Leg Received)

Minstrel Show easily finished his MCH title in 2003, taking grand champion buck 4 times. This buck is standing on the best feet and legs I've ever seen, they are dead on straight, and so far he has passed them on to every kid he's thrown. Our Minstrel Show daughters have freshened with beautiful udders, being very well attached with excellent capacity. We are crossing Minstrel Show to many of our polled Flat Rock Gem daughters this year. Not only do we feel it will be an excellent cross, it is also a line breeding on MCH FR Surprise *D through Minstrel Show's granddam, Flat Rock's Sweet Reward.

Sire:
Flat Rocks Flash +S  E
(Flat Rocks Mighty Mike x
MCH Flat Rocks Surprise *D)

Dam:
Flat Rocks Treasure
(HBF Tax Time Bacaneer x
Willow Creek Scandal)

This buck is absolute dynamite! He is a beautiful deep chocolate and white. He is very structurally correct being very wide, especially through the hocks, very level, with correct feet and legs, and a long neck. His dam, Treasure, was one of our oldest does. She had a lovely well attached udder that held up well into her old age. Treasure was a very wide and powerful doe whose kids earned multiple Grands. Since Treasure has passed on, Buried Treasure will be her final son. See his daughter,

Sire:
MCH Ponder's End Minstrel Show

(Flat Rocks 501 Blues x
Mighty Fine Prissy)

Dam:
MCH Flat Rocks Surprise *D
(Goodwood Alamo Messenger ++S  x
Willows Bonehead)

Maestro is our up and coming Senior Herdsire. He combines the best qualities of both his dam, MCH FR Surprise *D, and his sire, MCH PE Minstrel Show. This buck is extremely correct all around. He is standing on superior feet and legs, and showing excellent width and depth of body. Based on structure and the superior udder genetics behind him, this boy is the one to watch!

(Gay Mor's Lucky Northrup King +*S x
Gay Mor's RA Wood Nymph
~ a Stonewall Raising Arizona daughter)

Dam:
Flat Rocks Butterbeer
(Irish Whisper Harry Potter x
 Flat Rocks Gin Fizz)

I am still trying to thin the buck herd. To that end I'm offering this guy up for grabs though it pains me to do so. This is Flat Rocks Polyjuice Potion. He's an Irish Whisper Harry Potter son out of Flat Rocks Butterbeer. Due to her untimely death Butterbeer is located on our doe reference page. She was a herd favorite and a particular favorite of mine. She was a stunningly beautiful doe. Extremely productive. Fantastic udder. This guy is very correct and he's a small buck. Great downsizer.
